All Docentric Toolkit licenses are defined by two variables: Number of Developers and Number of Deployment Locations:

  • Number of Developers
All developers that work on a project that incorporates Docentric Toolkit Engine must be covered with valid licenses. Each member of the development team who need to compile the project that incorporates Docentric Toolkit requires a license.

  • Number of Deployment Locations:
A physical location where an application incorporating Docentric Toolkit is deployed. Each distinct geographic location (e.g. office address) counts as a separate deployment location.

Developer License

This license type allows one developer to create an unlimited number of derived works using the product. The derived works can be deployed to one site (physical location) within your organization. This license type does not support royalty free distribution, public facing web sites or SaaS project deployment scenarios.

Developer OEM License

A Developer OEM license allows one developer to create an unlimited number of derived works using the product. The derived works can be deployed to an unlimited number of sites (physical locations) within or outside of your organization. This license type supports royalty free distribution of the engine, public facing web sites and SaaS project deployment scenarios.

While Docentric Toolkit Engine .NET assemblies are allowed to be deployed along with your software to multiple deployment sites this is not true for Docentric Toolkit Add-In for MS Word. Your end-users that are not employees of your organization must purchase a separate End User license if they want to design template documents using Docentric Toolkit Add-In for MS Word. In case you have a lot of end-users we can offer you a custom End User license.

Team License

Team license allows up to ten developers to create an unlimited number of derived works using the product. The derived work can be deployed to up to ten sites (physical locations) within your organization. This license type does not support royalty free distribution, public facing web sites or SaaS project deployment scenarios.
