Hi Jeremy,
I will send you the Cloudox test account to your email soon. Regarding the PDF output support, the feature will be introduced with Docentric Toolkit 2.0 that is scheduled to be released at the beginning of July. If you want to have access to early alpha or beta versions let me know.
Hi,
I am interested by this test !
You know when you would develop intrinsic PDF support in Docentric Toolkit ?
We are about to release our new product Cloudox which is Docentric Toolkit in the cloud. But this service also has the Convert operation which will definitely serve your purpose. We (will) give this functionality to our customers/users for free (for a limited number of docs per month) until we develop intrinsic PDF support in Docentric Toolkit. Let us know if you need a test account for Cloudox to test the functionality.
I use it right away because my application need it.
At the same time I test your solution, I'm looking for a converter Docx to Pdf :) !
I'm glad to hear everything works.
We are aware that lack of PDF output is a serious limitation for our product. But note that PDF output is a top priority feature that will be introduced in the next major release. If there was a PDF support, would you use it right away or you don't need it seriously right now?
In my opinion most of the developers (our customers) use ".NET Objects" as their data sources, but this is probably because the majority of them create special classes objects that already have coirrectly shaped data and are suitable for binding in templates. On the other hand, XML data sources can handle dynamic situations much better, thanks to XPath, what you have obviously already found out by yourself.
Please come back any time you encounter an issue or have a technical question regarding the toolkit. And thanks for all your help!
Cheers, Jure
Good news : - the bug is closed (images in subdocument are diplayed) - the error is corrected !
Very Thanks, it's perfect. For info I use XML to benefit from the power of XPath. I begin my test but i find your product very interesting. I think PDF support would be an advantage.
I use dll on an integration server without MSO. On real server I understand i must install full version.
Oh, I forgot to ask you another thing. Did you run your application via Visual Studio on the production server or at least attached a debugger (Visual Studio) to the process running Docentric Toolkit? Because this would require full installation of Docentric Toolkit on the production server as well.
Thank you very much for this info! So if I understand you correctly, this error occurs in the product environment. I hope this will help us resolve the issue.
Anyway, the new release is ready for download. Please repeat the uninstall/download/install procedure and let me know if everything works now.
Thanks again, Jure Leskovec
No problem :)
The path doesn't exist on my server (where my programm run) because I just copy all dll (I don't execute the setup on my server)
I only execute setup on developper computer (Windows 7 PRO SP1) for install addin
In the last release we switched back in license validation for the engine (Docentric.Word.dll) and we obviously introduced an issue that is not manifested everywhere. I will immediately remove it out and release it so you won't be wasting your time. Please wat for another 20 minutes, I'll be back to you and let you know when the fix is ready to download. I'm really sorry for the inconvenience.
The license validator checks for the license existence at the specified path that it obviously could not find. May I ask you to check if the path exists and if everyone (or at least the process) has permission to access it? And also which OS version you have. I would be very grateful for your help.

Can you please specify the full exception (message + at least the beginning of the stack)? Does this error occur in Add-In or in Visual Studio when running the project that incorporates Docentric Toolkit?
Hi

Thanks for the sent material. This was bug that we have fixed. The fix is already available in the form of a new public release which can you can download from our standard download location. Please uninstall the old version and download and install the new one.
Please let me know if everything works as expected.
Cheers, Jure Leskovec
Yes the other content (fields) is rendered correctly but not the picture ...
I attach master and sub-document.
Thanks
Hi jrousselle,
If you use the sub-document tagging element to insert a document, the whole sub-document should be rendered (inside the master document) only without headers and footers. Is the other content of the sub-document rendered correctly? Can you please send us the template and the sub-document? If you have a workable simple project which we can use to reproduce the issue directly, please send it as well. (Note that you can attach files to the posts)
Thanks, Jure Leskovec
